• Comments: This drawing of the mosaic circles confirms one of Charles Playne's comments in TBAG. He noted that the background colour of the inner circle (the one with the leaves) was a "dull red", not the yellow or green shown by Lysons or later illustrators. On the 1880 drawings it is shown as a reddish colour.
